How Earner Levels Work

Limits on earning Bitcoin on Purse are determined by Earner Levels. There are 6 levels for Earners and one, invite-only VIP status. Earners can level up by successfully completing transactions and receiving positive feedback.

Starting on June, 2021, we've released an update to make orders available to lower-level earners if they sit untouched in the order book for more than a week. Orders will be made available to some lower-earner levels dynamically.

Being an Earner on Purse is a fairly streamlined process. You can build a great reputation with our Shoppers, and provide a valuable service to our users by fulfilling Amazon orders with your unused Amazon gift card credit, and earn Bitcoin (BTC) or Bitcoin Cash (BCH) in return.

After you accept your first Earn transaction, there a few key steps that you will need to follow to ensure your Earn order goes smoothly and efficiently:

Before accepting a Purse Order

Ensure the order you are going to fulfill has accurate pricing information (so that you don't overpay for it due to tax fees not included in the Purse order), and carefully review the amount of Bitcoin you will receive for it.
You can only complete orders based upon your current Earner Level, as you continue to process more orders successfully, the limits for orders you can place will increase.

Getting Tracking Numbers for your Amazon orders

When fulfilling shoppers’ Wish Lists on Purse, in order to receive the funds from escrow, the shopper has to confirm they’ve received their order. This process is more seamless, faster, and more enjoyable for the shopper (and you, the Earner) if you provide tracking information with every order you complete; especially large orders with multiple Order IDs and Tracking numbers.

As of November of 2020, Amazon started hiding the Tracking Numbers from the Tracking Page for an order, making it difficult to get accurate shipping status for our Purse shopper. Additionally, Amazon took the decision to make the Tracking Pages private, now only the Purse earner (who placed the Amazon order in their account) has access to the tracking information.

By submitting Tracking numbers with every order, our automated tracking system will follow the delivery status along the way, and will notify the Shopper upon its arrival — ensuring you (the Earner) gets paid faster. Please note this is not optional. All earners must provide the tracking information for their Purse orders. Transactions might be canceled if tracking information is not provided.

While browsing or searching on Purse, you will find items from Amazon.com (US Store). This store will ship to many places outside of the United States for an additional shipping fee. You can view the full list of destinations & rates here. You can also use a freight forwarder to ship to your country if the export from Amazon is problematic.

How much does Purse charge earners?

Purse’s wallet to send, receive and store digital currency is free. Network transaction fees apply.

What's unique about Earning on Purse is you will select an offer to purchase in exchange for Bitcoin. The rate for each order varies.

Effective Rate

In the Earn section of Purse you will find an order book. All the offers are organized by rate. This is the '% above market rate' you will pay for the Bitcoin if you decide to purchase the order. The orders are organized by this rate, and the best offers float to the top.

|| This "Earner" effective rate is calculated as the inverse of the discount rate the shopper has requested. For example, a shopper discount of 20% equals a earner markup of 25%, e.g. 1/(1-0.2) = 1.25. This percentage above or below market rate is fixed, but the rate will fluctuate based on the value of the asset at that time, and will be locked in as soon as you accept the offer.

No Additional Fees
